early 20th century painted checkerboard in red, black and salmon. the board measures 21-1/2" tall by 15-3/4" wide and 3/4" thick. it is made with 6 boards and has breadboard ends on the long sides. the salmon & black and salmon & red painted ends feature polka-dots where the captured game pieces are stacked. the back is not painted and the edges are red. there is a eye hook at the end to hang the board. the playing ground is black and red squares. the sides are nailed with round nails, which would date the board to 1920-1930's. very folky. item # 2788 $495.00

small black and natural wood checkerboard, with raised rim and cut round nail construction. the board measures 10-3/4" by 10-1/2" there are incised lines for the playing ground and the dark squares have been darkly stained and are now nearly black. the bottom is natural wood. not sure of the types of wood. a very nice little all original board that dates around the 20's 30's. item #2877 $195.00
